Anna-Carin Nordin is the founder of The Hotel Anthropologist, a consulting firm aiming to offer solutions in a constant changing industry. As a Hotel Anthropologist, she explores the past to better understand the present and forecast the future of existing hotel organisations to finally offer a clear path towards longterm success. 

Along with the traditional Hospitality Consulting Methodology she applies innovative techniques including Big Data Analysis, Trend Forecasting, The Diamond Shaped Trend Model and Cross Cultural Analysis.


She is a Keynote Speaker on Hospitality, Technology and Marketing for various gatherings  such as FITUR, EuroChrie,  

B-Travel, ESADE/ TSI Leaders Week, Manpower Experis FinTech Meeting and lately for the HSBC Private Bank Next Generation conference. 

In 2017 her first book is published by the Belgian editor Luster: "The 500 Hidden Secrets of Madrid". A book part of the series of guide where the authors always try to go off the beaten track, selecting lesser known places, which have yet to be found by the tourist hordes. In some cases, they also suggest places and facts that many of the locals in the city were not even aware of.


As a Hospitality expert with strategic market vision and an international career within the Luxury Hotel sector in Europe, the Business School EADA in Spain invited her to join their Academic Team. Since 2014 she has been teaching Entrepreneurship for the International Master in Tourism and Hospitality. 

Her own Academic background starts with a Bachelor Degree from the Hotel School of Lausanne and two Master’s degrees in International Marketing (EADA- Barcelona) and Luxury Management (HEG – Geneva Business School) and a Diploma from IESE New York in Digital Strategies. 

Based in Madrid she also operates from Miami and Lausanne in Switzerland.
